Saudi magnate sells “Lady Moura” to Mexico billionaire

For many she is a familiar sight in Ibiza: The super yacht “Lady Moura” has been one of the regular guests in the port in summer for years.

The boat was seen frequently in the waters of the southern Mediterranean again this season. For 31 years it belonged to the Saudi billionaire and regular Ibiza guest Nasser ar-Raschid (82). From 2019 it was for sale at the British yacht broker “Camper & Nicholsons”.

According to press reports, Alberto Bailleres (89) is the new owner since this year. The Mexican multibillionaire’s fortune is estimated at $ 10.1 billion, according to the Forbes list. He owns the “largest and most productive mines in the world” which produce 25 tons of gold and 25,000 tons of silver per year.
The purchase price of 125 million euros for the “Lady Moura”, launched in 1990 by the Hamburg shipyard Blohm & Voss, should not have caused him any headache.

When strolling at the port of Ibiza Town, the golden letters on the hull that give the 105-meter ship its name can be seen particularly well. Each letter is coated with 24-carat gold and is said to have cost 12,000 euros. A 72-person crew takes care of the well-being of the guests and the operation of the ship.
