The 7Pines separates from Kempinski and enters into an alliance with Hyatt

The 7Pines Resort on Ibiza’s west coast embodies a “visionary approach to sustainable luxury”. The elegant hotel recently reopened under its new Destination by Hyatt brand.

With a picturesque view of the azure blue sea, the luxury resort impresses with its privileged cliff location with a view of Es Vedrá. Until recently, 7Pines was operated under the Kempinski brand.

With roots in Berlin and today’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, Kempinski Hotels S.A. is the oldest European luxury hotel group. The resort, which opened in 2018, was actually supposed to become the flagship of the cooperation. However, the hotel chain ended its cooperation with the company 12.18. The 7Pines is now part of the exclusive Hyatt Hotels Corporation based in Chicago.

Jörg Lindner, managing partner from 12.18., had confirmed in a press release in March that the strategic brand alliance between 7Pines and Kempinski had been dissolved.

With the Ibiza location, Hyatt is bringing its “Destination” brand to Europe for the first time. “We are an individual hotel and closely linked to the Ibizan spirit”, emphasizes 7Pines managing director Carlos Fritz.
