“Curvy Models”: Six local designers stage strong curves

In order to become a mannequin, women over size 40 are sought after in Ibiza

Presented by Diario de Ibiza, the “Ibiza Fashion Bloggers” show their work on the subject of fashion and design on Friday, November 29, at an event of the same name.

A special casting for the curvier models took place at the end of October. “We were looking for women with a dress size from 40 upwards.” The models worked together with six well-known fashion artists from the island, who will show off their curves in art, fashion, films and photos.

The finalists of the casting “Miss Model Curvy Ibiza” can be found on the self-named Facebook page. They will be working with designers such as Alfonso Sanchez, Lina Rojas, Patricia Perales, Neus Rubio, Esperanza Martinez and Rosa Maldonado.

At the end of November the winning designs will be presented in a fashion show in the “Club Diario de Ibiza”. Guests can also take part in workshops such as “The perfect evening make-up” or “Elegant hairstyles for the festive season”.
